1. Submit College Entrance Examination Board (CEEB) or SAT scores. Transfer students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 and at least 12 credits earned at their previous institution. The same applies to the Independent Study Program.
2. All applicants to the regular Bachelor's Degree Program must submit a portfolio of work or take the Entrance Evaluation Seminar and be evaluated by a committee of faculty experts in their fields, whose decision is final, binding, and cannot be appealed.

San Juan Bautista School of Medicine

1. Completion of high school at an institution recognized by the Puerto Rico Department of Education or the jurisdiction where the school operates.

Technological Institute of Puerto Rico

They must submit a sworn statement confirming that the student completed their studies through homeschooling. They must also submit the College Board test results. The student is required to have obtained a minimum score of 500 on each of the achievement tests (English, Spanish, and mathematics).

Leston College

Diploma and/or transcript of fourth year or its equivalent. If you don't have your fourth year diploma, they can still help you.  

Liberty Junior College

1. Be a high school graduate or have equivalent qualifications. This must be verified by submitting a High School Diploma, Transcript (original and stamped), or Graduation Certificate (original document, not a copy).
a. The GED (General Education Development Test) administered by the Department of Education's Extension Division and a copy of the diploma will be accepted as equivalent to a high school transcript.
b. If the student does not submit a transcript or equivalency exam results, a true and exact copy of the diploma will be accepted as evidence of high school graduation.

National University College

Homeschooled students must submit a notarized certificate and a high school transcript with coursework and grades. If this is unavailable, students must provide evidence of having passed a high school equivalency exam or GED. Homeschooled students must also complete and submit all admissions documents required by the institution.

Homeschooled students are exempt from this test only if they submit their GED or obtain a letter from their local school district officials. This letter must confirm that they have received an education “substantially equivalent” to that received by high school graduates in the public school system. In addition, they must have their Homeschooled Student Certification document notarized.

Antillean Adventist University

1. Provide evidence of having completed a program of study equivalent to a high school graduation in Puerto Rico. The equivalency must be certified by the Puerto Rico Department of Education.
2. If certification from the Puerto Rico Department of Education is not available, the student's parent or guardian must submit:  
a) A sworn statement from the parents or guardians serving as a Homeschooled Student Certification; or a Homeschooled Student Certification issued by a recognized educational institution (umbrella school).
b) Evidence of official College Board, ACT, or SAT 1 and 2 college admissions test scores of 500 or higher.
3. If necessary, the Admissions Office may require an interview with the student and their parents or guardians if the student is a minor.

Ana G. Méndez University

1. Be a graduate of a high school licensed by the Puerto Rico Council of Education or its equivalent.
2. Have taken the College Board Examination (CEEB) or the placement test administered by the University in the areas of Spanish, English, and mathematics.
3. Submit an official transcript of credits, including the first semester of the final year of high school.
a) Students in the public education system whose school provides their cumulative grade point average (GPA) through the electronic system recognized by the Puerto Rico Department of Education will not have to submit physical evidence of the transcript of credits.
4. All candidates must submit one of the following documents (or its equivalent) as proof of having completed high school or its equivalent:
a) Original graduation certificate (4th-year diploma or final official transcript).
b) Official document from an institution or organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, certifying the equivalence of a high school diploma.

University of Puerto Rico

Admission criteria for homeschooled students.

1. Homeschooled student

Admission Criteria for Homeschooled Students.

Parents or guardians must complete and have the "Homeschooled Student Certification" document notarized, along with the Academic Transcript. The form can be accessed through admissions.upr.edu under documents or requested at the Central Administration Admissions Office for processing.

1. Homeschooled students will be assessed at the central administration admissions office.

2. You must place the code 3934 in the School of Origin box of the Admission Application.

3. Students may be evaluated through either the traditional or non-traditional route. If the traditional route is selected, their IGS will be calculated based on their academic index (calculated at home) and the results of the admissions test. If the non-traditional route is selected, students must submit evidence according to the chosen category.

4. It is a requirement to have been homeschooled for at least the last year prior to applying for admission.

5. A transcript of credits with the calculated academic index will be accepted, provided it is issued by an umbrella school, a recognized homeschooling organization, or produced by the parents or guardians. The transcript must be signed by the parent or guardian and notarized.

6. The academic index should reflect the high school average (9th to 12th or 10th to 12th grade), not just the period in which homeschooling was carried out.

7. The Transcription of Credits will be accepted with the following requirements:

a. Grade, Course Titles, Credits and breakdown of grades up to the first semester of twelfth grade.

b. A minimum of 18 credits is required for graduation, which must include no less than three credits in each of the following subjects: Science, Spanish, Social Studies, English, and Mathematics.

c. In addition, one credit in each of the following areas: Fine Arts, occupational courses or others such as Religion, Languages, Archery, Personal Economics, etc.

d. The average must be calculated on a scale of 0.00 to 4.00.

e. Signature and date.

8. Parents or guardians must complete and notarize the "Homeschooled Student Certification" document, along with the Academic Transcript. The form can be accessed through admissions.upr.edu under documents or requested at the Central Administration Admissions Office for processing.

Inter-American University of Puerto Rico

A. Students from homeschooling programs may apply to the University in two ways: 
1. Submit evidence of having completed a program of study equivalent to a high school diploma in Puerto Rico. This equivalency must be certified by the Puerto Rico Department of Education. 
2. If certification from the Puerto Rico Department of Education is not available, the student's parent or guardian must submit: 
a. A sworn statement indicating that the student completed their studies through homeschooling. 
b. College Board test scores. The student must have obtained a minimum average score of 500 on the achievement tests in English, Spanish, and mathematics. 
B. The applicant must obtain a minimum admission index of 800. This is calculated based on the College Board test scores and a high school index equivalency calculated by the University.

Pentecostal University of Mizpa

1. Pastoral Certification Letter
2. High school transcript, copy of diploma or GDE (General Educational Development) certificate, or any other documentation certifying completion of high school, or, failing that, a university transcript. 
3. Interview with the Dean of Students at the University. 
4. High School Equivalency or Exam Students: Students applying for admission to Mizpa Pentecostal University who completed high school through independent study, equivalency exams, or other means, and who cannot provide evidence of meeting the academic index requirement, will fulfill all admission requirements for new students. They may apply for and receive conditional admission, if they qualify.

Polytechnic University of PR

2. Have obtained the minimum admission index approved by the Academic Board; otherwise, the application will be evaluated by the Admissions Committee. 
3. Meet the specific conditions to which some programs are subject, such as: number of applicants, additional tests, or personal interviews. 
Homeschooled Students: 
1. Present high school graduation equivalency certified by the Puerto Rico Department of Education.

Serrant Academy

1. Have completed high school or its equivalent. 
2. You must submit evidence of schooling with one of the following original options: diploma, official transcript of credits or graduation certificate; diploma or official transcript of university degree evidencing a minimum of two (2) years approved. 

Advantage Technical College

Fourth-year evidence. If the student does not have a diploma, they must bring an official high school transcript in a sealed envelope. Any student who obtained the equivalent through external examinations must present the diploma or the results sent by the Puerto Rico Department of Education.

Athens College

1. Submit a high school diploma, official transcript, or proof of equivalency exam results. Provide an official transcript or proof of high school completion indicating your GPA to complete the registration process. This proof must be certified by an institution authorized by the Puerto Rico Council on Education.
2. Provide a copy of your College Board scores.
a. The purpose of requesting College Board scores is to determine if the student needs tutoring in Spanish, English, and mathematics.
Students who do not submit their College Board scores will be given a diagnostic test, which they must pass with a minimum score of 70%, to assess their proficiency in the following subjects: i. Spanish ii. Mathematics iii. English as a Second Language

AutoMeca Technical College

1. Official transcript of high school and college (if applicable), high school diploma (original), or equivalency certificate issued by the Puerto Rico Department of Education, or proof of homeschooling.
2. Submit a signed statement from the person who provided the education confirming that the studies offered are equivalent to high school in Puerto Rico.
3. Be interviewed by the Technical Supervisor or Administrative Director of the institution.

Cambridge Technical Institute

1. Completion of the 4th year of high school or its equivalent
2. Copy of diploma or transcript of credits or fourth year equivalency certification.

Caribbean Aviation Training Institute

1. College Boards/SATs/GPAs or entrance exams are not required.
2. Transcript of credits, Diploma, Original certification that proves completion of the fourth year of High School.

Caribbean Forensic & Technical College

1. High School Diploma or transcript of credits, GED or equivalent

Center for Multidisciplinary Studies (CEM) College

2. Please note that we are required to verify the validity of your high school diploma or equivalent. If we determine that your high school diploma or equivalent is not valid, you will be refused admission to our college.

Charlie's Academy

1. Evidence of having passed the 4th year of high school or its equivalent (GED), duly authorized by the State or competent agency.

College of Cinematography, Arts and Television (CCAT)

Homeschooled students may apply for admission to the institution in two ways:
1. Submit evidence of having completed a program of study equivalent to a Puerto Rico high school diploma. High school equivalency must be certified by the Puerto Rico Department of Education.
2. If the student does not have evidence for the purposes of obtaining certification from the Puerto Rico Department of Education, they must submit:
a. A sworn statement indicating that the student completed their studies through homeschooling.
b. College Board test results. The student must have obtained a minimum average score of 500 on the three achievement tests in English, Spanish, and mathematics.
In both cases, if the institution deems it necessary, the student will be interviewed.

Educational Technological Industrial College (CETI)

1. Obtain and/or submit a certified and sealed transcript of credits.
2. Provide a diploma or equivalent issued by the Secretary of Education or another recognized and accredited educational institution.
3. In special circumstances such as weather events, disasters, fire, vandalism, etc., the applicant must provide:
a. Certification indicating that the applicant graduated from high school or equivalent.
b. Any other document that demonstrates, such as: correspondence from the high school, a government agency, or a sealed written document from a high-ranking official representing said agency, describing the hardship caused by the situation or demonstrating that the student has taken steps to obtain this documentation. If CETI has any reason to question the validity of the document presented or any other document used to validate it, the diploma or equivalent will be required.

College of Technology

1. Have been interviewed and oriented by an Admissions Officer of the Institution.
2. Be a high school graduate or have equivalent qualifications.
3. Official transcript of completed courses and grades

2. In the case of Accelerated Education or Homeschooling, the state requirements must be met: minimum age of 16 years and the institution granting the degree must be accredited.

San Juan Hotel School

1. Provide proof of graduation from a high school recognized by the Puerto Rico Department of Education or an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. or Puerto Rico government, such as a transcript or diploma. Alternatively, provide proof of having passed the GED (Gender Equivalency Exam).
2. The San Juan Hotel School considers homeschooling equivalent to the fourth grade. Because each state or territory has different regulations regarding homeschooling requirements, the School will review each case individually to determine if the evidence is equivalent to the fourth grade according to the laws of the state where the evidence is issued.

Humacao Community College

ICPR Junior College

1. Equivalency Certification from the Department of Education.
2. If you do not have proof of the Department of Education Equivalency Certification, show proof of College Board results, along with a sworn statement from the parent or guardian.
3. Interview with the Local Director.

Institute of Beauty Careers

1. Official graduation transcript, academic transcript, or diploma proving high school graduation or equivalent education (GED Certificate), or university transcript showing previously obtained Associate's degree.
2. If your high school equivalent was homeschooled, you must have a certification from the Puerto Rico Department of Education.
3. The institution does not accept students without a high school diploma or GED.

Institute of Banking and Commerce (National University College)

1. Copy of high school diploma or recognized equivalent (technical program). A recognized equivalent is defined as graduation from a public school affiliated with the Puerto Rico Department of Education, a private school authorized to operate by the Puerto Rico Board of Postsecondary Institutions, or studies completed abroad that have been validated as equivalent to a fourth year of high school by the Puerto Rico Department of Education, or passing the equivalency exams for independent studies.
If pursuing an associate degree, the following requirements apply:
2. Transcript of credits certifying completion of all graduation requirements.
3. A GPA of 2.00 or higher in high school or in an authorized postsecondary academic-vocational program. If the student does not have the required 2.00 GPA due to a grade of "D" in Spanish, mathematics, or English, they may be admitted if they present College Board scores of 400 or higher on the academic achievement test. You may request the skills test for the corresponding subject and pass it with a score of 70% or higher for placement in regular courses. Failure to pass the skills test will result in non-admission.

Art and Technology High School

1. Homeschooled students must meet the general admission requirements.
2. Homeschooled students must submit an Equivalency Certification from the Department of Education or evidence of having completed a program of study equivalent to high school graduation. If the student does not have certification from the Puerto Rico Department of Education, the parent or guardian must:
a. Provide a transcript of credits prepared by the person or entity certifying the homeschooling. This must include the course name, the period in which the course was taken, and the grade obtained. It must fulfill all courses required by the Department of Education.
b. Provide a Homeschooled Student Certification, specifying that the student completed their studies through homeschooling. This document must be notarized and submitted to the Admissions Office. The Homeschooled Student Certification is a sworn statement that must highlight that the student completed their studies through homeschooling. The form will be available at the Admissions Office.
c. After being admitted, the applicant proceeds to sign the training contract. If the student is under 21 years of age, the contract must be signed by a parent or guardian.

High School of Art, Design and Commerce

Mayagüez Institute of Technology

1. Copy of high school diploma or recognized equivalent* or a transcript of credits certifying completion of all graduation requirements.
